Pay a Bill

Water, sewer and refuse arrive as one monthly City bill. It is due on the 15th, or the next business day when the 15th falls on a weekend or City holiday.

The City’s Direct Payment Plan takes the bill from your bank account each month.

Download the authorization form and return it to the City of Exeter. Please attach a voided check to the authorization form. A form received after the 10th of the month will be effective the next billing cycle.

Late payments, new service, and emergencies

Penalty
If the bill is not paid by the 15th, $10 is added to the account.
Shutoff notice
A shutoff notice is issued before water is turned off. An account still unpaid at 4 p.m. on the last Tuesday of the month goes on the disconnect list, which adds a $35 service fee whether or not the water is shut off.
Start service
An owner brings proof of ownership. A renter brings a signed lease and a $180 deposit.
