Commitment
Accessibility
The City intends this site to work for every resident, including anyone browsing by keyboard, screen reader, magnification, or captions.
The standard this site meets
Our city’s website is made for everyone, including people with disabilities. We follow the rules of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and special rules like Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 A and AA, to make sure it’s easy for you to use.
How this site is tested
Every page is tested with a keyboard only, with a screen reader, at 200% zoom on a phone-width screen, and with an automated checker, in English and Spanish. The City’s website developer runs those checks on every page template. After that, every published page is scanned automatically each month and reviewed by hand each quarter.
What is not right yet
Of the 745 documents hosted on this site, 89 are scans with no text layer. A screen reader cannot read them and search cannot find them. The City is converting them so they can be read and searched. Until then, ask for any of them and the City will get you the contents another way.
New documents are checked for a readable text layer before they are published.
Tell us what gets in your way
If you’re having trouble with our website, please tell us. We will fix it, and we will get you the information another way in the meantime.
