Departmental activities focused on project coordination, construction oversight, funding compliance, financial administration, and interdepartmental collaboration while preparing several initiatives for implementation in Fiscal Year 2027. Staff also continued supporting community engagement through public communications, business development activities, and ongoing coordination with local, regional, and state partners. KEY ACTIVITY: • Continued oversight of the East Ridge Community Center Expansion Project through construction closeout, operational readiness planning, programming development, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and City staff. • Advanced the Springvale Dog Park Redevelopment Project through engineering coordination, Change Order No. 1 approval, grant administration, reimbursement activities, and project scheduling in preparation for bidding and construction. • Administered multiple federal, state, and local grant programs through contract execution, reimbursement processing, financial reconciliation, compliance monitoring, audit preparation, and year-end reporting activities. • Coordinated business recruitment, retention, and redevelopment efforts by assisting prospective businesses, evaluating commercial properties, facilitating grand opening activities, and supporting private investment opportunities within East Ridge. • Advanced redevelopment and environmental planning initiatives through implementation of the EPA Brownfields Assessment Program and coordination of site evaluation efforts for future redevelopment opportunities. • Coordinated strategic technology modernization initiatives, including implementation of HubSpot CRM, development of the City's municipal website procurement strategy, evaluation of integrated digital service platforms, and planning for upgraded fleet management GPS technology. • Supported municipal facility improvements through planning and coordination of the City Hall front office renovation project and continued oversight of capital improvement initiatives at City- owned facilities. • Expanded community partnerships by coordinating with local and regional organizations to evaluate future programming opportunities, including youth development, wellness initiatives, and Community Center partnerships. • Managed public communications, branding initiatives, press releases, project announcements, ribbon cuttings, award nominations, and community engagement efforts supporting transparency 3 and economic development. • Continued coordination among City departments, elected officials, consultants, contractors, regional organizations, state agencies, funding partners, and community stakeholders to advance strategic organizational priorities. The East Ridge Police Department made a total of 48 physical arrests that included 65 misdemeanor charges and 19 felony charges. The East Ridge Police Department answered 3 calls within the City of Ridgeside and conducted daily self-initiated activities (directed patrols, park and walks, etc.). Work included ongoing planning for the June 2026 ALERRT training and the July Single Officer Response to Active Shooter course.
