Throughout March, the department provided centralized coordination of grant compliance, financial reconciliation, reimbursement administration, and audit-sensitive documentation across 20+ active funding programs. In addition to funding oversight, the department led and supported a range of active capital and development projects, including Venue 1921 completion activities, Community Center renovations, Camp Jordan improvements, roadway resurfacing coordination, and Springvale Park development. The department also expanded efforts in digital services, public communications, and website development, while strengthening intergovernmental partnerships with Hamilton County, state agencies, utilities, and private sector stakeholders. Strategic focus remains on ensuring compliance, improving internal processes, enhancing public-facing services, and positioning the City for long-term economic growth and investment. KEY ACTIVITY: • Coordinated and supported Venue 1921 final walk, punch list development, and operational readiness efforts • Advanced citywide roadway resurfacing program through coordination with engineers, contractors, and utility providers • Led development and implementation of new City website and digital contact systems • Completed FY26 Q3 SRO Grant reporting, reconciliation, and compliance review • Supported coordination of Camp Jordan capital planning efforts and FY27 Community Project Funding application with Hamilton County Government • Initiated Springvale Park design The department filled a total of 51 open records requests from citizens and the District Attorney’s Office. A total of 604 citations were issued from 689 traffic stops. The East Ridge Police Department made a total of 58 physical arrests that included 102 misdemeanor charges and 53 felony charges. The East Ridge Police Department answered 2 calls within the City of Ridgeside and conducted daily self-initiated activities (directed patrols, park and walks, etc.). Fire Administration • Scheduled fire inspections and training for each shift. • Fire Department In-Service Training has been ongoing throughout March 2026. • Staff attended City Council meetings. • Fire Chief Williams has continued in the role as Interim City Manager this month. • Staff have been working on a new city ordinance for false fire alarms. The City Attorney, Assistant Fire Marshal, and Fire Chief will bring this before Council for approval. • Fire Administration has been working on updating Standard Operating Procedures to various incident types. • Brian Koral has been selected as the City Manager by East Ridge City Council.
