The department filled a total of 30 open records requests from citizens and the District Attorney’s Office. A total of 373 citations were issued from 445 traffic stops. The East Ridge Police Department made a total of 56 physical arrests that included 69 misdemeanor charges and 21 felony charges. The East Ridge Police Department answered 6 calls within the City of Ridgeside and conducted daily self-initiated activities (directed patrols, park and walks, etc.). Massengale Car 53 – 57,403 miles TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION: An eight‑hour Taser class was conducted on December 8 for two new reserve officers, followed by two additional Taser sessions for personnel who were unable to attend earlier classes. Staff also participated in the Front Line Leadership course held December 9–11, 2025. In addition, personnel traveled to Clarksville, Tennessee, to complete the Troy Industries AR‑15 Armorer Course. Specialized training documentation for these activities was submitted through the ACADIS portal. Fire Administration • Scheduled fire inspections and training for each shift. • The department received the new engine from Pierce that will answer calls for service in district one throughout the City. • All members of the department attended training with a representative of Pierce on the operations of the new engine and the new enhanced features. • Staff scheduled coverage for Catoosa County during the County’s Christmas Party. • Staff attended a Legislative Breakfast meeting to discuss upcoming laws and bills that could affect the Fire Department and the City. • Members of the department attended the City’s Christmas Party at Venue 1921. • Members attended a breakfast with Santa at Crosspath Church and dressed as Santa to provide photo opportunities with children. • Each shift had a Christmas dinner together. All families were invited to spend time together while members were away form home during the holidays. Training Each shift completed a minimum of two hours of training per shift throughout the month of December. Training sessions covered a variety of operational, technical, and safety topics across multiple disciplines. Below is a summary of the training areas completed: 1. Facility: SCBA Evolution, Large Area Search. 2. Rescue: Technical Rescue Support and Vehicle Extraction Operations, Ref. Essentials 7 Ch. 17. 3. Library • Installed heat tape on the gas valve to the Library unit to restore heat. • Fixed the entrance door so it would close properly. • Lubricated the keyways on the Library entrance doors. Court • Hung garland and wreaths in the courtroom. • Converted two light fixtures to LEDs in the Deputy Court Clerk’s Office. • Touched up the paint in the Deputy Court Clerk’s Office. • Repaired wall corner that was damaged during the new floor installation. • Stopped leak at the water fountain outside the courtroom. • Removed all the Christmas decorations from the courtroom.
