Scott Miller Mayor Vice-Mayor Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember City Manager STEPS FOR OBTAINING A SOLICITORS PERMIT 1) Application must be completed with permanent address of the business or organization. 2) An identification photograph of the applicant. 3) Abrief description of type of business and the goods to be sold. 4) The dates for which the applicant intends to do business or make solicitations. 5) The names and permanent addresses of each person who will make sales or solicitations within the City. 6) The make, model, complete description, and license tag number and state of issue, of each vehicle to be used to make sales or solicitations. 7) Tennessee State sales tax number, if applicable. 8) Nonrefundable permit fee of $25.00 for each applicant. 9) Permit are to be worn by peddlers and solicitors. After a background check, a pin or lanyard will be issued with photo of the solicitor or peddlers. 10) All peddlers and solicitors shall be provided with a magnet to display on vehicle. The permit holder shall display the magnet on the front driver-side door of any vehicle used by a peddler or solicitor at all times while making sales or solicitations. 11) All peddlers and solicitors shall pay a permit holder designation display fee of $25.00, regardless of rather they own or operate a vehicle.
