CAMWS Southern Section

The Southern Section

The Southern Section of CAMWS elects its own officers, and schedules and holds its own meetings.

Most recently: the 104th meeting, October 24–26, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.

Questions about the Southern Section of CAMWS should be directed to the CAMWS-SS Secretary-Treasurer at camws-ss@camws.org.

For presenters and presiders

Every meeting since 1905

Meetings are held at the invitation of a department of Classics at a university, a college, or (rarely) a secondary school, and a representative from that department chairs the local committee. After a site visit by the Secretary-Treasurer and the negotiation of a contract with a hotel, the Executive Committee of CAMWS must grant its approval.
