The Training & Event Coordinator organizes BBOP Center’s facilitators, trainers, workshops, networking events, business events, workforce trainings, financial empowerment sessions, pitch competitions, and community convenings across all three pillars.

Position Summary
The Training & Event Coordinator organizes BBOP Center’s facilitators, trainers, workshops, networking events, business events, workforce trainings, financial empowerment sessions, pitch competitions, and community convenings across all three pillars.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate the organization-wide training and event calendar across entrepreneurship, workforce development, economic empowerment, and Kinetic AI activities.
Schedule facilitators, trainers, speakers, panelists, mentors, judges, volunteers, vendors, and event partners.
Manage logistics for trainings, workshops, networking events, pitch competitions, community events, funder-facing events, and partner convenings.
Coordinate registration, attendance tracking, reminders, materials, room setup, AV, food, signage, volunteers, surveys, and post-event follow-up.
Support all three pillars with high-quality event execution and consistent participant experience.
Maintain facilitator, trainer, speaker, mentor, and volunteer databases.
Track event attendance, satisfaction, outcomes, follow-up needs, referrals, and conversion opportunities.
Work with marketing staff to promote events, capture content, and ensure brand consistency.
Support virtual and hybrid event logistics as BBOP expands its national digital delivery model.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
Strong event coordination, training logistics, calendar management, vendor coordination, and customer service experience.Ability to manage details under pressure and execute events that look professional, run on time, and produce usable follow-up data.Experience coordinating workshops, trainings, conferences, community events, pitch competitions, or nonprofit events preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams/Zoom, registration platforms, spreadsheets, Monday.com or similar tools, CRM systems, and AI productivity tools.Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and stakeholder management skills.Comfort supporting in-person, virtual, and hybrid events and occasionally working outside standard business hours.
Education
Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in event management, communications, business, hospitality, nonprofit management, education, workforce development, or related field preferred.
Relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of event coordination, training coordination, program support, hospitality, nonprofit events, community engagement, or administrative logistics experience.
