Accessibility Statement

The BBOP Center wants every founder, job seeker, member, partner, and reporter to be able to use this site, on any device and with any assistive technology.

Last updated September 2026

The standard

This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which includes everything in the WCAG 2.1 AA target the Center set for its website. That covers color contrast, keyboard access, visible focus, meaningful headings and landmarks, text alternatives for images, forms with labels and clear errors, and content that reflows on a phone without sideways scrolling.

How it is checked

  • Every page runs through an automated accessibility checker at desktop and phone sizes before it is published, with zero violations as the release bar.
  • Every page is tested with a keyboard alone: the skip link, the menu, the search box and its suggestions, the front desk, and every form.
  • Animation respects your system's reduced-motion setting; the still page is complete without it.
  • Search, the front desk, and every form work with JavaScript turned off.

Known limits

  • Scheduling, payment, and application steps hand off to the Center's HubSpot and Shopify accounts, whose pages the Center does not control; report a barrier there to us and we will raise it with the vendor.
  • Older documents published as PDFs may not yet be tagged for screen readers. Ask and we will send an accessible version.
