21 Things 4 Students
These free, quest-based activities are specifically designed to integrate technology
into 6th–9th grade classrooms. Using the reimagined “Thing 3” as a guide, this session
demonstrates how students navigate the “Hero Lab” to discover their strengths, protect
their privacy, and master digital citizenship in gamified challenges. Teachers will leave
with turnkey resources to empower students as responsible leaders of their digital lives.
AI in Education: Trends, Tools, and Trust
Participants will explore the transformative role of AI in education while navigating
ethical challenges like data privacy and bias exploring how to rethink assessment design.
Educators will leave with best practices to ensure AI responsibly supplements, rather than
replaces, human instruction.
AI in Special Education
Discover how AI can be a game-changer for caseload management. We’ll explore tools
that assist in drafting IEPs, differentiating materials, modifying grade-level text for lower
Lexile needs, and providing real-time accommodations for neurodiverse learners.

Digital Citizenship in the Age of AI
This interactive session helps K-12 educators navigate digital citizenship and literacy in the age of AI. Explore how the Michigan
Integrated Tech Competencies (MITECS) help shift students from passive consumers of tech to critical thinkers. By evaluating readyto-use resources on deepfakes, privacy, and ethical AI, teachers will leave with practical strategies to foster a safe digital learning
environment at all grade levels.
Gemini - Advanced
Move beyond simple chat. Learn how to use Gemini to analyze student data trends, create custom “Gems” that act as personalized teaching
coaches, and leverage multi-modal AI to turn your rough sketches or photos into polished classroom resources.
Gemini - The Basics
Streamline tasks with Gemini! Learn how to navigate the chat interface, generate images, and utilize Gemini features specifically within
Google Classroom. Through hands-on practice, attendees will learn how to craft clear, effective prompts that save time and enhance
classroom instruction. This training is designed for beginners and focuses on practical, immediate applications for everyday teaching.
Generative AI for Educators
This foundational session explores the history of AI, from basic machine learning to today’s powerful generative models. Participants
will gain a better understanding of how large language models and chatbots function practically in an educational context. Educators
will master the art of prompting to craft effective instructions, maximize AI tools, and build the confidence needed to navigate a rapidly
changing landscape.
Google Timesaving Tricks
Level up your daily workflow with essential shortcuts for Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, Drive, and Chrome. Learn to automate grading in
Sheets, use smart chips in Docs, and organize your digital life. This can also be broken down into shorter sessions focusing on one or two
specific Google apps.
Integrating Generative AI Lessons in YOUR Classroom
Learn to integrate K-12 generative AI lessons aligned with MITECS and ISTE standards. Participants will evaluate ready-to-use resources from
Code.org, Common Sense Media, and 21 Things for Students and leave with actionable projects to empower students as informed AI users.
Intentional Integration of Technology in Early Elementary Classrooms
Provides K-2 educators with purposeful strategies to move beyond passive screen time and leverage digital tools to support foundational
learning goals. Participants explore essential tech competencies and practical, hands-on activities designed to introduce young learners to
responsible digital citizenship. Can be expanded into a multi-part series upon request.
Notebook LM
The ultimate “Personal Research Assistant” for curriculum design. Upload your textbooks, PDF articles, or district curriculum maps to create
a private AI that answers questions, generates study guides, and finds connections within your specific materials.
Promoting STEM Through Literature
Explore REMC’s Promoting STEM Through Literature (PSTL) resources to learn how literacy and STEM interconnect to support student
innovation. Educators will learn to integrate literature with hands-on challenges using design thinking and book-specific task cards. Leave
with ready-to-use materials and information on accessing REMC maker kits for immediate classroom use.
