How to File

The monthly worksheet, step by step

Each month's revenue is reported on the Monthly Carrier Remittance Worksheet and paid by the 20th of the following month. September 2026 revenue is due Tuesday, October 20.

  1. Sign in

Each reporter has an account of their own, with an email address, a password and a code from an authenticator app. A consultant's account covers every company it reports for, and an officer's account can certify.

  2. Enter the month's revenue

Section 2 has a line for each kind of intrastate end-user revenue. Lines 8 and 10 add up as you type, and every line shows the company's last six filed months beside it.

Enter numbers to the nearest whole dollar; for example, enter $1,258.67 as $1,259; enter $1,258.34 as $1,258.

  3. Explain a figure that changed

When a line is far from the company's own average, the portal asks you to confirm the figure and say why it changed before the worksheet can be certified. The explanation is filed with the worksheet, so staff read it instead of writing to ask.

Line 4 on Fireweed Valley Telephone Cooperative's September worksheet

    $12,257

    Average $20,235

Line 4 is 39% below this company's average for its last six filed months.

  4. Record the payment

Payment goes to AUSAC's bank account by ACH or wire. Record the amount and the date the funds should arrive. One payment can cover several companies; list each company's share on the worksheet you file last.

Must be made via ACH or wire transfer. Request banking information via email: info@ausac.org

Include company name or Company Code in electronic payment description

A single payment for multiple companies can be made each month

  5. Certify and submit

The person signing checks the certification on the worksheet, with their details on Lines 13 to 16. A consultant can instead save the worksheet for the company's officer, who reviews it, certifies and submits. Every submission returns a receipt with its confirmation number.

Under penalties as provided by law, I certify that I have examined this report and to the best of my knowledge and belief it is true, correct, and complete. I further acknowledge AUSAC's authority to request additional supporting information as may be necessary.

  6. Revise within six months

A revision is a new worksheet for the same month with the corrected figures in full. It is kept beside the original, which never changes.

Revisions may be used for correction of revenues previously reported. Revision period is the most recent 6 months. When filing a revision, follow these same instructions, making certain that the correct Revenue Data Month has been entered in Block C and revision is indicated in Block D. Attach a copy of the original filing for the Revenue Data Month being revised. Provide actual revised revenue amounts, not differences.

  7. Confirm the last six months

Every six months, each company confirms the figures it filed for the six months before. The confirmation can be put off once, for one month, with a reason.
