Redesign concept. Built by Stoa to show what a modern, accessible AHA website could be. It is not the Authority's official site, which remains at abqha.org.

Open government

Board of Housing Commissioners

AHA is governed by a five-member Board of Housing Commissioners, including a resident of AHA housing. The Board meets in public every month, and its agendas, minutes, and resolutions are open to everyone.

How AHA is governed

The Board sets policy, adopts the agency's plans and budget, approves payment standards, and oversees the Authority's work. As an independent public body, AHA is accountable to its Board and to the residents it serves, with day-to-day operations carried out by agency staff.

AHA also works through its housing development corporation (AHAHDC) to develop and preserve affordable homes using tax credits and private financing.

Note for reviewers

Member names and the meeting cadence are taken from AHA's current Board of Housing Commissioners page. On a live site this would be managed in the CMS so staff can update members, post each meeting's agenda packet, and publish minutes after approval, with everything searchable in the document finder.
