Country Music Star and former 10-year police officer Frank Ray visited the West Chester Police Department Friday to speak with officers about mental health awareness.
Frank Ray recently completed a 35 city arena tour with Old Dominion and has been visiting his fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters throughout the country (has visited 57 PD's in the last year). He is a former New Mexico police officer and was recently named the Chief Ambassador of the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC and will be playing a major role in this year's Police Week.
Additionally, Frank is working hard off the stage to bring more support, funding and awareness of the mental health of our first responders and their families. Last March he launched his new campaign at the Capitol in Washington, DC with several Members of Congress. The website for his new campaign is www.frayoc.org.
Mental health for first responders is a priority for our West Chester Township. Find behavioral health resources and link up with the Peer Support Program from the Wellness tab of the employee Intranet.
