For veterans

Transportation and in-home care built for veterans.

Two programs are built specifically for veterans: free rides to VA clinics, and a way for eligible veterans to direct their own in-home care.

What's included

  • Veteran Transportation

Free rides for veterans 60 and older to VA clinics, offered in partnership with the Peninsula Agency on Aging, serving VA clinics in Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach.

  • Veteran Directed Care

A collaboration with Bay Aging and the Department of Veterans Affairs that lets eligible veterans at risk of nursing home placement direct their own in-home care, so they can stay in their own home longer. Access starts with a referral from a VA primary care physician.
