Join the Schaumburg Youth Jazz Orchestra Summer Intensive!
For rising 8th thru graduated 12th grade jazz musicians
Take your passion for jazz to the next level with the Schaumburg Youth Jazz Orchestra Intensive — a dynamic program designed to expand your skills, deepen your understanding of jazz history and culture, and connect you with fellow young musicians from the area.
What to Expect:
- Play in a full jazz ensemble with talented peers
- Participate in masterclasses led by experienced jazz educators
- Explore the rich history and cultural roots of jazz
- Prepare and perform 8 exciting pieces
- Showcase your talent in two public performances at the end of the intensive
Open To: Rising 8th grade thru graduated 12th grade students
Dates: June 22 - July 7
Days: Monday-Friday, 1 pm - 4 pm
Concerts: Tuesday, July 7 at 7 pm (Maggie Atcher Theatre) and Wednesday, July 15 @ 5 pm (90 North Schaumburg Event)
Where: Al Larson Cultural Center
