We became the owners of this beautiful home on November 30, 2021. Initially, the property deed included three names: Krzysztof S. Klesyk, Ping Wei, and Yan Zhou. Due to personal reasons, we decided to execute a quit claim deed to remove my expartner Yan Zhou’s name from the original deed. This change was officially recorded on June 19, 2023. Upon receiving letters about the new STR regulations, I checked the BS&A website multiple times to verify the active permit status and expiration date. It simply didn’t occur to me that removing a name from the deed would be considered a "change of ownership." Had I realized this, I would have promptly reapplied for the STR permit. We are committed to complying with all city regulations and have every intention of doing so. However, we face the daily challenges of working full-time, managing family obligations, and caring for our young children. Moreover, Mr. Klesyk underwent open-heart surgery last year and is still in the recovery process. Also, our current STR license is set to expire in two months, and we kindly ask if there is any possibility of granting us a "grace period" while the council considers the guidelines for "property transfer exceptions." We are sincerely hopeful that you will consider our request with compassion and understanding. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for your consideration of our situation. Warm regards, Ping Wei
