City Council & Leadership Team Strategic Goal Setting Work Session Minutes - proposed January 14, 2026 8:30 a.m. Saugatuck Yacht Club (15 Park Street) The City Council met for a strategic goal setting work session at 8:30 a.m. Saugatuck Yacht Club 15 Park Street. Saugatuck, MI 49453. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Mayor Anderson at 9:00 a.m. Attendance: Present: Mayor Anderson, Mayor Pro-Tem Stanton and Councilmembers Clark, Dean, Gardner, Muncey and Peterson. Absent: None. Others Present: City Manager Cummins, Zoning Director Moore, Treasurer Bredeweg, DPW Superintendent Herbert, Clerk Wolters and Deputy Clerk/Admin Williams. Public Comment: The day's events began with a welcome from City Manager Cummins and Mayor Anderson. The City Manager and Department Heads reviewed 2025/2026 successes and progress made toward current City priorities. Council reviewed the existing strategic framework, including current vision, goals, and pillar areas. Discussions included carryover priorities for 2026/2027 and identification of potential additional priorities. Adjournment: Motion by Garnder, second by Peterson to adjourn the meeting.
