Accessibility
Onward! wants every student, donor, and nonprofit in the Four Corners to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or magnification.
Accessibility standard
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
Accessibility features
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and buttons meet contrast minimums, and pages still work when text is enlarged to 200 percent or the screen is narrow.
- Photographs have text descriptions, and where the Foundation has published the names of the people in a photograph, they are written out beneath it.
- Application forms label every field, say which answers are required, and list any problems at the top with a link to each one. “Save and continue later” keeps your answers so you can finish another time.
- Motion stays still for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- Some older documents, such as past audits and tax returns, are scanned PDFs that a screen reader cannot read. Ask, and Onward! will send the information in another format.
- Online gifts and the fund advisor log-in happen on CSuite, the Foundation’s accounting system, which Onward! does not control.
