Accessibility

This information should work for everyone.

MTC's production website should give people with disabilities the same clear path to funding programs, company and grantee records, public documents, and contact information.

Our accessibility target

This working site targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We designed it for keyboard use, screen readers, text enlargement, reduced motion, and a range of mobile and desktop viewport sizes.

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time badge. A production launch would include automated checks, keyboard and screen-reader review, testing at high zoom, and a documented process for fixing reported barriers.

What we check

  • Structure: headings, landmarks, lists, tables, form labels, and status messages that keep their meaning without visual styling.
  • Keyboard access: visible focus, logical order, a skip link, and controls that do not require a mouse.
  • Readable presentation: sufficient color contrast, text that can resize, plain labels, and information that does not depend on color alone.
  • Motion and media: reduced-motion support, descriptive image alternatives, and no essential information hidden inside animation.
  • Search and filters: labeled inputs, announced result counts, complete server-rendered lists, and honest empty states.

Known limits

This is a demonstration, not MTC's live service. Forms do not send or store information. The eight mirrored PDFs are indexed so their text can be found, but this build does not claim that each source PDF has completed full document-remediation review.

If a document creates a barrier, the production team should provide the same information in an accessible format on request and remediate the source record.

Report a barrier

Tell MTC what you were trying to do.

Include the page or document, the problem you found, the device or assistive technology you used if you are comfortable sharing it, and the best way to follow up.
