As President Trump prepared for an official state visit to India, Meridian had just returned from its Global Insights Mission that brought delegates from the Meridian Corporate and Meridian Global Leadership Councils to Delhi for a firsthand look at the U.S.-India relationship. With great anticipation of a bilateral trade agreement emerging from Trump’s two-day visit with Indian Prime Minister Modi, policy and business leaders in Delhi shared their views as national elections loomed, with the newly introduced Citizens Amendment Act stirring more controversy in domestic affairs.

Delegates met with U.S. Ambassador Ken Juster and Aayog Devashish Dhar, who leads policy planning inside the Indian government’s think tank NITI Aayog, which prioritizes connectivity, education and health for its people, cities and rural communities.
