Overview IVLP Participants visit GOOGLE HQ The International Visitor Program (IVLP) "Managing Start-Up Incubators for Growth" brought eight visitors (four from Pakistan, four from India) to the United States in order to strengthen U.S. economic ties, meet with entrepreneurs and learn techniques to implement at home, and promote empowering women to paly an important role in economic development. The group - made up of tech innovators, incubators, and organization coordinators - were taken to city centers of technological innovation including Washington, DC; San Francisco, CA; Austin, TX; and Boston, MA.

Each city addressed various topics including the government's role in the promotion of entrepreneurship, university research, and crowdfunding new start-ups. Highlights in Washington included a meeting with Mr. Jeff Reid, Founding Director of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative, and a podcast recording with Meridian CEO Ambassador Stuart Holiday. The IVLP participants also had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of both Google and Facebook during their city stop in San Francisco following meetings with several incubators in Silicon Valley.

Austin's highlights included meetings with The Capital Factory, the Central Texas Angel Network, and the University of Texas at Austin. Finally, in Boston, they had appointments with Harvard University, MIT, and MassChallenge, an incubator that "helps early-stage entrepreneurs succeed by connecting them with the resources they need" to grow.
