This finder runs over a real, synonym-aware search index of the Zoo's animals (served by /api/search-louisvillezoo). It shows a representative set of the collection with the Zoo's own photography. On a live build it would read directly from the Zoo's existing animal records, so it stays current automatically, and each card would deep-link to that animal's page. Conservation statuses shown are the real IUCN listings; exhibit groupings are illustrative of the Zoo's zones.

Every animal card carries its status on the IUCN Red List, the global standard for how threatened a species is in the wild. It turns a fun browse into a quiet conservation lesson.
