Farm Advisors wants every Indiana farmer to be able to read about the program and ask for a mentor, on any device. farmadvisors.ag is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What That Means on This Site
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and a visible outline shows where you are.
- Text and controls meet the AA contrast levels.
- Photographs that carry meaning have text descriptions, and the words in Farm Advisors’ graphics are written out beside them.
- The program film has captions and a written transcript.
- The mentor request works without scripting, every field has a label, and a missing answer is named in words, not only in color.
- Pages reflow to a narrow phone screen without sideways scrolling, and you can zoom to 400 percent.
- Dates for events update to the day you read the page, so nothing past is listed as coming up.
Pages Farm Advisors Does Not Run Here
Videos Farm Advisors posts on LinkedIn, the outside programs listed on Resources, and the registration pages for workshops run on other services, which have their own accessibility. Some PDFs, such as event flyers, are published as Farm Advisors received them. If you need a document in another format, ask and Farm Advisors will help.
