BOCES Leadership Conference

Session information: Creating environments where everyone feels they belong strengthens community, sparks creativity, and deepens connection. When children are targeted because of race, gender, religion, or identity, adults must respond with the same urgency as they would to physical harm. This session introduces the Schoolyard Response Toolkit, offering clear, practical guidance for parents, educators, and caregivers on how to intervene quickly and compassionately. Participants will learn actionable strategies for responding to incidents before, during, and after to protect children, support their social-emotional well-being, and reinforce a culture of respect and inclusivity.
