Columbia County Youth Theatre

CCYT began as a simple musical theatre workshop held during the summer months on the scenic and lovely Chatham Fairgrounds, and has grown into a vibrant, community‑rooted training ground for young artists.

Guest artists and teaching staff lead workshop classes where students explore acting, improvisation, singing, design, and collaboration. We empower the youth of Columbia County and neighboring communities to build confidence and develop skills in performing, writing, costumes, technical theatre, teaching, leadership, and more—often guided by teaching artists who grew up in the program themselves.
