The site includes a museum, house tours, beautiful gardens, scenic river views, five miles of trails, a visitor center, and special events. The site includes the iconic Copake Blast Furnace, a visitor center and museum, and numerous original buildings and structures. Pomeroy Foundation honored it with a “Legends & Lore” marker, recognizing its association with Washington Irving’s character Ichabod Crane, based on the real schoolteacher from Kinderhook.
