Accessibility

The Port of Centralia wants everyone to be able to follow the Commission, read the Port’s records and do business with the Port, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

The Standard

This website is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard the U.S. Department of Justice adopted for state and local government websites under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the newer WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every page is checked with automated tests, by keyboard and with a screen reader before it is published.

Commission Meetings

When a Commission meeting recording has captions, a person checked them against the recording before they were published, and the meeting page shows the full transcript beside the player, where it can be read, searched and printed. The agenda’s items open the recording where each item began. The approved minutes remain the official record of each meeting.

The Port posts its agendas, minutes, notices and reports as PDFs. A document the Port scanned from paper carries a text layer on this website, so search and screen readers can read it.
