The Select Board has general supervision and control over the affairs of the town: legislative, administrative, and quasi-judicial (24 V.S.A. §872).

Energy Committee
Established spring 2019. Helps residents, businesses, schools, and the Town reduce energy use and costs through conservation, efficiency, and renewables.
Monthly
Planning Commission
Prepares and maintains the Town Plan and land-use bylaws, and reviews planning matters for the town.
Fourth Thursday of each month
Zoning Board of Adjustment
Hears appeals, variances, and conditional-use requests under the town's zoning bylaws.
Third Tuesday of each month, 7 PM
Wastewater Committee
Guides the town's wastewater planning and project work.

Oversees the municipal water system, rates, and the water service ordinance.
Quarterly
Town Meeting
Arlington's voters meet annually to set the budget and decide town business. The warning (official agenda) is posted in advance.
