Weatherization Assistance

Free home energy upgrades that lower power bills and keep Southeast Georgia families warm in winter and cool in summer, at no cost to eligible households.

What it is

A trained crew visits your home, finds where energy and money are leaking out, and fixes it. Typical work includes added insulation, sealing drafts, tuning or repairing heating and cooling, and safety checks, all free for households that qualify.

Who can apply

Eligibility is based on household income and is open to homeowners and renters (with owner permission). Seniors, people with disabilities, and families with young children are prioritized.
