Accessibility commitment
Everyone deserves to use this site, on a phone, with a screen reader, by keyboard, or with low vision. This concept is built to WCAG 2.2 AA (a superset of the WCAG 2.1 AA legal floor the RFP names).
How this site is built
What we did
- Real contrast. Every text and background pair meets the 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text) ratio, including the gold, which appears as a fill behind dark ink rather than as low-contrast gold type.
- Keyboard first. Skip link, visible focus rings, a menu button that announces its state, and a logical tab order on every page.
- Screen-reader ready. One
h1per page, ordered headings, semantic landmarks, labelled form fields, and meaningful alt text. - Declared language. Every page sets
<html lang="en">so screen readers pronounce content correctly. - Comfortable targets. Buttons and links are at least 44 px tall for primary actions, easy to tap on a phone.
- Reduced motion. Hover lifts and smooth scrolling respect the “reduce motion” setting.

Bright gold type on white reads at roughly 1.5:1, well below the 4.5:1 minimum, so the brand gold can’t be a text color.
