Prototype. A concept redesign for the Harte Research Institute, prepared by Stoa in response to TAMU-CC. Not the live Institute website.

A unified web presence

The HRI network, brought together

HRI's web presence spans more than a dozen sites across two content management systems, with a patchwork of editor access. This concept maps every site to one brand, one CMS, and a single dashboard, with each site reachable as an extension of harteresearch.org.

Today vs. the concept

The eleven HRI-aligned sites

Site addresses below are the Institute's real public domains. The proposed unified path shows how each could live under harteresearch.org while existing URLs continue to redirect, so no inbound links break.

Note for reviewers: The current CMS column reflects HRI's stated environment (Drupal and Decap, hosted on cloud platforms). Page counts are illustrative placeholders for the content-audit phase; exact counts would be confirmed during discovery.

How it comes together

Four moves toward one cohesive presence

One brand

Shared headers & footers

A modular design system gives every site a consistent header, footer, and component library, while leaving room for each program's individuality.

One CMS

Drupal as the single platform

Consolidating Drupal and Decap sites onto one CMS simplifies updates, security, and training for editors across HRI.

One dashboard

Single sign-on for editors

Each editor signs in once and sees only the content they manage; administrators get full rights across every site from one place.

No broken links

Redirects that preserve history

Existing domains keep resolving and redirect to the new unified paths, so citations, bookmarks, and search rankings carry over.

Try it

One search across the whole network

Because every site shares one content model, a visitor can search research, people, programs, sites, and news in a single place. See the working demo.
