New Mexico School Boards Association (NMSBA) is the membership organization supporting New Mexico’s local school boards, representing approximately 450 elected school board members statewide. It provides leadership and board-member training, superintendent search assistance, policy guidance, and state and federal advocacy on public education issues, while also organizing conferences, regional meetings, and recognition/scholarship programs. The association has operated for over 60 years and describes its role as supporting local governance autonomy for school boards.
