September 21, 2026 Board of Commissioners Meeting Recap

The Sevier County Board of Commissioners met Monday, September 21, 2026, for its regular meeting. During the meeting, Commissioners recognized community leaders, confirmed department head appointments and established committee assignments and meeting schedules for the upcoming year.

Honoring Community Leaders
During the meeting, Commissioners recognized and honored the late former Sevier County Commissioner Ronnie Allen and former Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism Executive Director Leon Downey.

Both were recognized for their service and contributions to the community.

Department Head Appointments Confirmed
The Board confirmed 22 department head appointments made by Mayor Bryan McCarter.

These appointments help establish the leadership of County departments as the new term of County Government begins.

Committee Assignments for 2026-27
Commissioners were appointed to 26 committees of the Board of Commissioners for 2026 to 2027.
