Comprehensive Safety Action Plan

Sevier County, together with the Cities of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Pittman Center, is proud to announce the Sevier County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP), made possible through funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s FY2022 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A)program. This joint effort brings all our local governments together with one shared goal: making our roads safer for everyone.

The Safety Action Plan takes a close look at where and why crashes happen across the county and outlines practical steps to prevent them. By using local data and community input, the plan highlights key areas where improvements can make the biggest difference for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Whether it’s through better road design, safer intersections, or increased awareness, this plan focuses on saving lives and reducing serious injuries on our roadways.

Creating this plan is an important first step toward building a safer future. With this plan in place, Sevier County and our municipal partners now have the opportunity to apply for future grants to put these safety strategies into action. Together, we’re laying the groundwork for long-term improvements that will make traveling in Sevier County safer and more enjoyable for residents and visitors alike.
