Beyond your home, families can explore these hands-on experiences and events. All are labeled as representative samples to show the kinds of opportunities available.

Mobile Museum & STEM Kits

The regional mobile museum brings hands-on exhibits to schools and libraries across Bay and Arenac counties. You can request a visit, borrow STEM kits for home, and meet career professionals at community events. Check the schedule to catch it in your area.

Family Science Nights at Libraries

Local libraries host free hands-on science nights throughout the year. Families solve puzzles, build circuits, learn about careers, and meet industry guests. No registration needed. Check your library's calendar for dates.

Summer Maker Programs

Community centers and schools offer week-long or day camps focused on coding, robotics, engineering design, and other STEM skills. Many scholarships available. Programs usually run June through July.

Industry Tours & Job Shadows

Meet professionals working in manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, and other careers. Family open houses let you explore local workplaces and talk to people doing the jobs your kids might love.
